  1. Jen and Lance – So far, no luck. I recorded a test podcast, then tried to export it to an mp3. I had downloaded lame, but remember when I told you I didn’t think it opened correctly in Winzip – usually it has me unzip files – these just kind of opened? I tried downloading it again, but when I go to export the Audacity file, it says it cannot open the mp3 library. So here I am, and i will try again later today. I will write again when I figure this out. Linda

  2. I’m still figuring out how to record it on my computer. I do know what I want to record though.

  3. I was able to do it using iTunes and iMovie. However, I have been unable to post it.

  4. I was able to record on my desktop, but not able to podcast it on my blog.

    Roman

  5. I am in the same boat Roman is in. I recorded a sample, but haven’t been able to get it on to my blog.

  6. I’ve had absolutely no luck saving it to an mp3 file but able to save as a wav file. Now, I can’t get it up on my blog. Very frustrating!

  7. I tried again to save my audio file as an MP3, but the Lame MP3 deal is just that, Lame. I can export to a WAV file. Will this work? I am going to try to upload in this format.

  8. Uploading seems to be the most challenging part of this process. I’m stuck here, too.

  9. If you have had a problem exporting as an mp3 file ( I had problems!) I rerecorded myself…then exported to an mp3 -DO NOT SAVE THE PROJECT BEFORE YOU EXPORT! I found that when I didn’t save the project that I was able to export just fine!

  10. To be perfectly honest, I am mostly lost at this point. I’m hoping I can upload a powerpoint presentation on the podcast. Is that possible?

  11. I was able to record my podcast on my desktop and save it, but I haven’t attempted to upload it into my blog yet.

  12. I am still exploring. I am still having trouble exporting my mp3 file to my blog. I am still working! :)

  13. Hi !
I was very happy to come to class and learn more about podcasting! Still trying to put it all together..

  14. I recorded my podcast with Audacity, but couldn’t save it as an MP3. I was able to move my recording to iTunes and convert it to an MP3 in iTunes. This allowed me to then upload the audio to my blog…Success!

  15. I have been unsuccessful in loading my video onto our media. I have down loaded the program they suggest, because my video is more than 10MB, and it just does not seem to work. Has anybody had any success with down loading a video? If so, Please Help Me.

  16. I was able to post my first podcast on my blog on July 11. My blog address is bhenegar.edublogs.org It was an audio only podcast that was a little over 5 MB. I ended up using gcast.com to upload the podcast.

  17. Wroking with Audacity was an enjoyable experience. It was similar to working with film editing in Adobe Elements. Loading the audio on an MP3 file was something I had to experiment with as I had not done this before. I may be one of the only three people left in this country who has never down loaded anything from i-tunes. My first problem cam when I was attempting to post the MP3 file to edublogs. My mistake here was that I went imediately to to the top of the page and selected the Write tab. At this point the screen went white and froze. This happened rapetedly. So I attempted to do this on another computer. Same result. I tried it on a third computer. Again the same result. It turns out that my problem was that I had forgotten to log in before I attempted to upload my post.
Anyway, once you showed me my error, it all seems so simple.
